Event in Winchester Cathedral

Just a reminder of the arrangements for Saturday:

13:30 Arrivals
Community Choirs gather outside West End (main entrance) of the cathedral. Here you will be met by your choir companion. You will be led to your base in the Cathedral. Please do not leave valuables in this space as the Cathedral will still be open to the public during this time.
You will then be led by your companion onto the choir staging. Please Note: This will involve climbing a number of steps. If this will be a problem for any of your members, please let us know asap.
14:00 Rehearsal
Please bring a drink with you and take loo breaks when needed as there will not be a long enough break to allow everyone to use the facilities.
17:00 Break
End of rehearsal. Please leave the stage, collect your belonging and depart the cathedral quietly as there is an evensong service at 5.30pm.
18:30 Arrivals (doors also open for audience)
Please arrive at the Cathedral, drop your belongings in your base and make your way to your seats. If you are performing in the first half then this will be on the choir staging. If you are not performing in the first half then this will be in the North Aisle.
19:00 Concert starts. If you are performing in the first half, you will come down off the choir staging and on to the flat area in front.
If you have been asked to contribute a piece please can you confirm full details two weeks before the event.
19:30 Interval
19:50 Second half – Conflict to Chorus
21:00 Concert finishes

There will be chairs on the choir raked seating but feel free to bring a small cushion for comfort.

Requirements
Dress Please wear your usual concert dress for the performance. For the rehearsal, it can get chilly in the cathedral so we recommend a warm jumper. Coats can be cumbersome in the cathedral and on stage.
Refreshments We are unable to provide any refreshments during the day/evening. Please bring a drink with you.

Tickets
These will be available shortly through the cathedral box office and will cost £7 (£5 concessions – including OAPs and 11-18 year olds), under 11’s are free of charge. http://www.winchester-cathedral.org.uk/ or call 01962 857275.
